Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations using your physiology and anatomy knowledge.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses across various age groups, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and adult populations.
- Administer medications, injections, IV insertions, and perform venipuncture procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
- Provide patient education on health management, medication administration, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), and other inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality during all aspects of patient care.
- Participate in telehealth consultations to extend care access remotely while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Assist in infection control practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the healthcare facility.
Qualifications
- Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from an accredited program.
- Proven experience working in Level II trauma centers or similar high-acuity environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care, or medical-surgical nursing.
- Experience with infectious disease care, post-acute care settings, outpatient clinics, or sub-acute care is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology essential for effective patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and medical records management.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for critical care roles.
- Skilled in IV insertion, venipuncture, medication administration, and injection techniques with attention to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Pay: $125,187.82 - $150,763.83 per year
