Job Title: Travel Central Service Technician (Sterile Processing)

Shift: Evenings (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Compensation:
- Local pay range: $30 - $36/ hr on W2
- Travel Pay range: $35 - $39/ hr
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Central Service Technician (Sterile Processing Technician) for an 8-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sterile processing, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Perform high-level disinfection and sterilization according to hospital policies and industry standards.
- Inspect instrument trays for completeness and functionality prior to surgical use.
- Operate, test, and maintain sterilization equipment.
- Maintain accurate sterilization records and quality assurance documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking and ordering supplies.
- Follow infection control, safety, and aseptic techniques at all times.
- Report equipment malfunctions or supply issues to leadership promptly.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of recent Sterile Processing/Central Service experience.
- Previous travel experience highly preferred.
- CRCST certification required within one year of hire.
- Strong knowledge of decontamination, sterilization, infection control, and instrument processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Pay: $30.00 - $39.00 per hour
