Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in a variety of settings, including home health, assisted living, and memory care facilities. Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Support patient mobility using proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety during transfers and manual handling
- Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging in meaningful activities that promote mental well-being
- Maintain clean and safe environments by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met
- Document care activities meticulously in accordance with healthcare protocols and communicate effectively with team members about resident progress or concerns
- Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance or appropriate vehicles
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer’s care strategies is essential
- Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or manual handling are a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper patient transfer methods; physical stamina for long shifts is necessary
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans and support patients with complex needs including hospice or palliative care experience is desirable
