Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient handling of materials. This role involves inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Warehouse Associate works closely with internal teams, drivers, and occasionally suppliers to ensure smooth operational flow. Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to customer and production requirements.
- Receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality, and properly documenting and storing them in designated areas.
- Conducting routine cycle counts, inventory checks, and reconciliation activities to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Maintaining organized warehouse locations and ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks (if certified).
- Assisting in the creation of shipping documents and coordinating with carriers or drivers as needed.
- Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Working with internal teams to support production schedules by staging materials and monitoring inventory min/max levels.
- Multitasking effectively to manage multiple priorities, including receiving, picking, and inventory tasks throughout the day.
- Following all safety guidelines and participating in regular housekeeping to maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Prior warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience: a minimum of one to two years is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is preferred.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
