Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items, ensuring quality and presentation meet established standards
- Set up breakfast buffet stations, including arranging food displays and replenishing items as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, dining spaces, and equipment in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
- Assist with food handling, portioning, and manual handling tasks to ensure smooth service flow
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems and handle guest payments professionally
- Engage with guests in person, delivering friendly service that enhances their breakfast experience while addressing any special dietary needs or requests
Requirements
- Previous experience in fine dining, food service, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures is essential for maintaining hygiene standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and handle food products with care
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory levels
- Experience with wine knowledge or catering/buffet service is a plus but not required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift weights safely, and perform manual handling tasks in a busy setting
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is preferred
- Previous banquet or catering experience will be considered an asset for this role
