Responsibilities
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and job requirements
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify key cost drivers
- Develop detailed labor, material, outside processing, and tooling estimates
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Perform cost and risk analysis to ensure accurate pricing
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, welding symbols, and technical documentation
- Work closely with engineering, production, sales, and project management teams
- Maintain vendor and supplier relationships
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures
- Assist in resolving cost, manufacturing, and production challenges
- Maintain estimate records and supporting documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred
- 1+ years of estimating experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or machine shop environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Experience estimating fabricated metal components, sheet metal, weldments, or machined parts
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Understanding of GD&T and welding symbols
- Knowledge of AWS and ASME codes preferred
- ERP system experience or ability to quickly learn new software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities

- Structural or custom weldments
- CNC machining and machined weldments
- Cost analysis and vendor sourcing
