Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate Toast POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries with enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas to uphold food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while managing cash handling responsibilities with precision.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed during beverage preparation and food service to meet safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Food Safety Certification (Required). Knowledge of food safety practices and proper beverage preparation techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate loads, and perform cleaning duties as needed.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or retail environment preferred.
