FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Small Parts Assembler to support first shift mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assembling component parts on small valves, matching parts to bills of materials, using hand and pneumatic tools, and following drawings and work instructions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic math skills, mechanical dexterity, and the ability to work accurately with small parts and components.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Assembling component parts on small valves
- Matching parts and materials to bills of materials
- Reading and following drawings, work instructions, and assembly requirements
- Using hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers
- Using pneumatic tools as needed for assembly tasks
- Identifying and matching parts, colors, and components accurately
- Performing small part mechanical assembly with attention to detail
- Maintaining quality and accuracy throughout the assembly process
- Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Following all workplace safety procedures and production requirements
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and write English
- Small part mechanical assembly experience preferred
- Good math skills required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment math test
- Ability to read drawings and follow assembly instructions
- Ability to match parts to bills of materials accurately
- Ability to use screwdrivers, wrenches, pneumatic tools, and related hand tools
- Familiarity with pneumatic hand tools preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and willingness to learn
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to use hands and fingers for small part assembly, matching, handling, and tool use
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements throughout the shift
- Ability to use screwdrivers, wrenches, pneumatic tools, and other hand tools safely and accurately
- Ability to visually inspect, match, and assemble small parts and components
- Ability to read drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move standard production materials, components, or tools as needed
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following applicable safety procedures
