We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong background in garment construction and alterations. As a Tailor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality, perfectly fitted garments that meet their style preferences. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with various fabrics and sewing techniques.
Duties
- Perform alterations and repairs on garments, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
- Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to complete tasks efficiently.
- Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences regarding fit and style.
- Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fitting of garments.
- Maintain an organized workspace and keep sewing equipment in good working condition.
- Assist in garment construction as needed, including cutting fabric and assembling pieces.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and fabric types.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand-sewing tools.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to alterations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
