JOB The Lake Erie Lifeguard Supervisor position with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources offers a chance to lead a skilled team at Presque Isle State Park. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position helps maintain safe conditions at Presque Isle State Park by supervising lifeguards, inspecting beach areas, and responding to emergencies. The role also includes training staff, preparing reports, and ensuring the use of proper safety practices. As a Lake Erie Lifeguard Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

Staff Supervision: Assign work, review performance, and support training for lifeguards

Rescue Response: Assist with swimmer rescues and provide first aid or CPR when needed

Safety Inspection: Inspect swimming areas and equipment to ensure safe public conditions

Beach Monitoring: Observe shoreline areas to maintain order and prevent accidents

Training Support: Lead or participate in training sessions focused on lifesaving skills and safety methods

Report Preparation: Prepare written reports that describe conditions, activities, and incidents

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Seasonal full-time employment, 40 hours/week; 7 days/week operation

Work hours are 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 5 of 7 days per week

Work schedule may vary to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed.
