FITNESS - TWO different positions - Senior Fitness Classes and Personal Training (PT)
Washington Township RecPlex is currently seeking skilled Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors for Senior Fitness classes. This fitness position is ideal for someone who is enthusasitc about empowering indviduals to improve their health, fitness, and self-confidence.
The successful candidate will be positive, professional, dependable, and passionate about helping others. You should feel comfortable leading group sessions, communicating clearly with participants, and fostering a welcoming environment for individuals at all fitness levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Group Fitness classes for seniors or Personal Training sessions for individuals and small groups.
- Provide exercise instruction, coaching, and modifications as needed to accommodate all participants.
- Build supportive relationships with class members.
- Encourage participant accountability and retention.
- Assist in gym events and community outreach initiatives.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and safe training environment.
Qualifications
- Possess a training certification from a certifying body (e.g., ACE, ACSM, AEA, AFFA, ASFA, Brown Belt or higher or equivalent certification; class dependent) at the time of hire.
- One year or more of instructing group fitness formats in a related field.
- Genuine passion for health and fitness.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
- Previous experience in coaching, personal training, athletics, or fitness.
- CPR/AED certification (preferred) or obtain within 90 days.
