Responsibilities
- Safely operate personal vehicles to deliver medical items across designated routes.
- Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities.
- Verify delivery accuracy by checking shipment documentation and obtaining necessary signatures upon receipt.
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries using mobile devices or electronic tracking systems.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch or clients regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
- Practice excellent customer service by handling interactions professionally and courteously at each delivery point.
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving, including adherence to traffic regulations and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and safety standards for commercial drivers.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, communication, and documentation purposes.
