A+ Cleaning Service, LLC is a locally owned commercial cleaning company serving businesses throughout Duluth and the surrounding area. We hold multiple commercial contracts with a wide range of clients — from professional office buildings to industrial facilities — and we have built our reputation one clean shift at a time.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring four (4) Part-Time Commercial Cleaners to service a new large-scale commercial facility in Duluth on a seven-day-per-week schedule. You will work alongside one other team member each shift, with an on-site Supervisor present on weekdays and remote supervision on weekends.

SCHEDULE
We use a 4-week rotating schedule that gives everyone a fair share of weekdays, weekends, and time off. Here's what you can expect:
- Weekday shifts: Evening hours — late afternoon through late night
- Weekend shifts: Saturday and/or Sunday — similar evening hours
- Days off: 3 to 4 consecutive days off every week — the rotation is designed so you get a real break, not scattered days off
- Weekends: Rotated fairly — no one is permanently stuck on weekends, and every fourth week you’ll have a full Saturday and Sunday off
- Average hours: Approximately 18–24 hours per week, depending on your rotation week
Your exact schedule is communicated in writing at least one week in advance. We work hard to keep schedules consistent and predictable so you can plan your life around them.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
You’ll be part of a small, tight-knit cleaning crew responsible for keeping a large commercial facility in outstanding condition. Your daily responsibilities include:
- Sweep, mop, and maintain all hard floors including stairwells and common areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, high-touch surfaces)
- Restock paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap
- Empty and reline trash receptacles throughout the facility
- Wipe down breakroom counters, tables, sinks, and microwave interiors/exteriors
- Dust cleared desks, computers, and work surfaces (you won’t move personal items)
- Polish stainless steel elevator surfaces
- Complete and sign off on your daily cleaning checklist at end of shift
- Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or facility deficiencies to the Supervisor
All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided. You won’t need to bring anything but yourself and a good attitude.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are not looking for the person with the longest résumé. We are looking for the right person. That means:

- Detail-oriented. You notice what others walk past. You do the job right the first time.
- Hard-working. This is a physical job. You’ll be on your feet the whole shift. That doesn’t bother you.
- Honest. You’re working in clients’ buildings after hours. Integrity isn’t optional.
- A team player. You work well alongside a partner and take direction from the Supervisor without attitude.
Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus — but we will train the right person. If you have a strong work ethic and the qualities above, we want to talk to you.
PAY & BENEFITS
- Starting pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience
- Consistent hours: Rotating schedule with predictable weekly hours
- 3–4 consecutive days off every week
- Earned Safe & Sick Time (ESST): 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked, per Minnesota law
- All equipment & cleaning supplies provided: You bring nothing but yourself
- On-site Supervisor: Weekday shifts have an experienced on-site lead — you’re never working without support

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs throughout the shift
- Facility-required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) worn during shift
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in Duluth
- A personal smartphone (required for timekeeping via QuickBooks Time app)
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Prior cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required
