American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an IMC/Progressive Care Stepdown position at a Joint Commission-accredited community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and prior ICU background.

Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week

13-week travel contract

Progressive Care/Stepdown unit with 30 beds

Adult and geriatric patient population
-
Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, CABG (POD 2), acute respiratory failure, AFib with RVR, ALIF, and XLIF
-
Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4

Floating required to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, as well as ED holds when applicable

On-call responsibilities required

Every other weekend required

EMR: Medhost

Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required

AHA certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience

ICU experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center

Joint Commission accredited, 171-bed community hospital serving as a regional referral center

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

Block scheduling requests are not accepted; 48-hour weeks may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Weekly orientation schedule in place

Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — near Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
