Duties
- Assist with the setup, dismantling, and maintenance of formwork and scaffolding for concrete pouring and finishing
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support construction activities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, loading materials, and organizing supplies for daily tasks
- Support concrete mixing, pouring, cutting, finishing, and rebar installation to ensure high-quality results
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to follow project specifications accurately
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, concrete forms, and masonry units while adhering to safety protocols
- Contribute to masonry work, tile laying, plastering, roofing, flooring installation, and other specialized trades as needed
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related field is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete pumping operations
- Experience with metal stud framing, masonry work, roofing, or restoration projects is a plus
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and schematics reading
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and protocol adherence
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment is desirable but not mandatory
