Description:
Utilize your knowledge of automation, electricity, and electrical components to build, test, install, and troubleshoot electrical systems for automated equipment across various industries.
Job Duties:
- Read and understand complex assembly drawings and schematics.
- Panel wiring, machine wiring, debugging, and field installation.
- Communicate with the engineers to improve systems and/or correct design issues.
- Test electrical systems.
- Use tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, drills, saws, and wire strippers.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Our office is in Columbus, IN.
- Working knowledge of electrical schematics.
- Solid troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of AC & DC electricity.
- Possess the ability to solder electrical connections.
- Ability to read and operate various measuring equipment related to electronics such as a digital multimeter.
- Ability to use / operate basic hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills. Microsoft Excel and Word.
Other Skills Required:
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must work well with customers and represent Uwba in a positive fashion.
- Excellent time management skills are a must.
- Must be able to be a good team member. Teamwork is critical.
- This job will require limited overnight travel to support remote installation efforts.
Requirements:
- High School Degree
- DOL Journeymen Certificate desirable.
