Children In the Spirit Christian School is seeking passionate, dependable, and qualified Preschool Teachers who are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment where young children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Florida Early Childhood 45-Hour Child Care Training (must be completed prior to employment)
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
- Associate's Degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- DCF Background Screening and eligibility to work in a licensed childcare facility
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards.
- Create a positive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning through exploration and play.
- Foster children's cognitive, language, physical, social-emotional, and spiritual development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in accordance with DCF licensing regulations.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Integrate Christian values, character education, and age-appropriate Bible lessons into daily instruction.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities while ensuring their safety at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience teaching preschool-aged children preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Knowledge of Florida licensing regulations and classroom health and safety procedures.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and professional.
- Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic about early childhood education.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced educational environment.
