As an Activity Leader, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ vocational, recreational, and community learning experiences while implementing the principles of Daily Life Therapy®—a holistic approach focusing on physical education, emotional stability, and intellectual development.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and lead engaging on-campus and community-based vocational experiences that align with classroom learning and monthly curriculum themes.
Foster teamwork, independence, and self-esteem through hands-on activities and structured lessons.
Collaborate with teaching and residential teams to ensure continuity across Day and Residential Programs.
Lead dynamic, meaningful activities during the school’s Vacation Program under the supervision of Division Directors.
Maintain communication with program directors and staff to promote consistency and effective planning.
Serve as a role model and motivator while creating an organized, positive learning environment.
Ensure student safety and well-being through active participation in daily physical activity.
Continue professional growth by studying and applying Daily Life Therapy® principles and innovative vocational education strategies.
Order and maintain vocational materials and equipment as needed.
Work Schedule:
School Year: Monday–Friday, 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. (220-day school schedule)
Vacation Program (approx. 8 weeks per year): Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:15 p.m.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum (preferred)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Valid driver’s license
Flexibility for occasional weekends or holiday shifts
