Position Summary
The Tree Trimmer is responsible for maintaining the health, safety, and appearance of trees and
shrubs through trimming, pruning, removal, and general tree care services. This position requires
the safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, climbing equipment, and other specialized
tools while following all company safety procedures.
Job Responsibilites
• Prune and trim trees and shrubs to promote healthy growth and improve appearance.
• Remove dead, hazardous, or obstructive branches and trees as directed.
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, wood chippers, stump grinders, and other tree care equipment.
• Climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and other safety equipment when necessary.
• Operate aerial lifts and bucket trucks safely and efficiently.
• Clean and maintain work sites, including removal and disposal of branches, logs, and debris.
• Assist with planting, watering, mulching, and general landscape maintenance as needed.
• Follow all OSHA, ANSI, company, and site-specific safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and customers.
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions.
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and job site hazards immediately.
