Overview:
We're looking for a temporary Legal Office Assistant to help our team through the summer. This is a great fit for a college student home for the season, or anyone looking for meaningful short-term office experience. You'll be a key part of how our office runs day to day and the first friendly voice many of our clients hear.
This is a temporary 30 hour/week position, minimum two months, starting as soon as possible.
Pay: $25/hour
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls with professional, friendly phone etiquette
- Handle new client intake calls and gather initial case information
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Prepare and send correspondence and letters to clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers
- Support the team with filing, scanning, and basic data entry in Filevine, our case management system
- Schedule appointments and assist with calendar management
- Perform other general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable talking on the phone with clients, some of whom may be dealing with injury or workplace accidents
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple small tasks at once
- Prior office, customer service, or administrative experience helpful but not required
- No legal experience necessary, we'll train you on our systems
