We are seeking a highly experienced, forward-thinking Dispatcher to lead daily operations for a fleet of 50+ drivers operating tri-axles, quads, centipedes, quints, and dump trailers. This role demands strong leadership, decisive problem-solving, and the ability to manage complex, fast-paced logistics across multiple job types, including concrete, stone, and aggregates hauling.
The ideal candidate operates with a high level of independence, takes full ownership of outcomes, anticipates challenges before they arise, and consistently drives efficiency with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch 50+ drivers across multiple truck types and job sites
- Manage high-volume scheduling in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritize loads based on deadlines, material type, and customer requirements
- Adjust routes and schedules in real time to account for traffic, breakdowns, and site delays
- Maintain clear, professional communication with drivers, customers, plants, and field personnel
- Monitor driver productivity, turnaround times, idle time, and overall fleet performance
- Resolve operational issues quickly, including call-outs, equipment failures, and scheduling conflicts
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to increase productivity
Maintain accurate tracking of loads, tickets, and daily production metrics

Required Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of dispatching experience in construction, trucking, or heavy haul operations
- Proven experience managing large fleets (30+ drivers; 50+ preferred)
- Strong understanding of dump truck operations and material hauling logistics
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage drivers effectively
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and prioritization abilities
- Strong Word and Excel experience required
- Highly proficient with computer systems and dispatching technology
- Experience with GPS tracking and fleet management platforms
- Working knowledge of Samsara, including GPS tracking, driver behavior monitoring, route visibility, and real-time fleet management
