CNC Mill Machinist

The Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join our day-shift manufacturing team. This position requires strong experience operating CNC milling equipment, producing precision-machined components, and maintaining the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of independently setting up, programming (if applicable), and machining parts while working closely with the manufacturing team to meet production schedules.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete machine setups, including workholding and fixture setup
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines
- Machine precision parts from carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Verify finished parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools
- Hold close tolerances while maintaining consistent quality
- Prepare raw materials for machining operations
- Perform routine machine maintenance and care for tooling and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow machinists to meet production deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Extensive CNC milling experience required
- Experience with HAAS CNC milling equipment preferred
- Ability to independently perform complete machine setups
- Ability to machine parts with moderate to high complexity
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Thorough understanding of machine shop mathematics
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring equipment
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
