Overview
Xtremely Clean Janitorial Services is seeking a dependable, experienced, and self-motivated Route Custodian to service multiple public facilities throughout Polk County.
This is not a traditional position where you remain at one building for the entire shift. The selected candidate will be responsible for completing an assigned daily route consisting of multiple park restroom facilities and ensuring that all assigned locations are fully serviced before 6:00 PM each day.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, manages time well, and can be trusted to take ownership of an assigned route without constant supervision.
Xtremely Clean provides the company vehicle, cleaning chemicals, equipment, paper products, and supplies needed to successfully complete the route.
Compensation
$700 weekly set compensation for successful completion of the assigned route and job responsibilities.
This position offers predictable weekly earnings rather than fluctuating scheduled hours. Employees are still required to accurately record all working time in accordance with company policy and applicable wage-and-hour requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Travel between assigned Polk County park locations using a company-provided vehicle
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain public restroom facilities to Xtremely Clean and client standards
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain all assigned public restroom facilities according to the Xtremely Clean cleaning method, training standards, and required finished appearance.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, partitions, fixtures, doors, and floors
- Sweep and mop restroom floors
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Restock toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, sanitary products, and other restroom supplies
- Complete assigned weekly and periodic deep-cleaning responsibilities
- Maintain cleaning closets, supplies, and equipment in an organized condition
- Inspect each facility before leaving to ensure all work has been properly completed
- Take required before/after or completion photographs at each assigned location every day
- Submit daily service documentation through the company's mobile system
- Immediately report vandalism, damaged fixtures, unusual conditions, supply concerns, or building-access issues
- Safeguard company keys, equipment, supplies, and vehicle
- Maintain professional conduct while working in public facilities
- Complete the full assigned route before 6:00 PM each service day
Vehicle & Driving Requirements
A company vehicle will be provided for completion of the assigned route.
Candidates must:
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Maintain an acceptable driving record
- Be legally eligible to operate a company vehicle
- Follow all company vehicle and safe-driving policies
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and professional condition
- Complete required vehicle inspections
- Meet the company's vehicle insurance eligibility requirements
An employee contribution toward the applicable vehicle insurance may be required and will be fully explained prior to acceptance of the position.

- Has previous commercial janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility-cleaning experience
- Is comfortable working independently for most of the day
- Can follow a route and complete multiple locations without constant supervision
- Has excellent time-management skills
- Is dependable and consistently reports to work as scheduled
- Understands that quality cannot be sacrificed simply to finish the route faster
- Is comfortable using a smartphone to clock in/out, communicate with management, and upload daily photographs
- Can recognize when a restroom requires additional attention rather than simply completing a checklist
- Takes ownership of their assigned buildings
- Can safely lift and transport cleaning products and supplies
- Is comfortable working in public park restroom environments
- Can professionally interact with members of the public when necessary
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable attendance required
- Previous professional cleaning experience strongly preferred
- Commercial restroom-cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to use a smartphone and mobile applications
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday
- Ability to independently complete the assigned route before 6:00 PM
- Ability to pass required employment screening and driving-record review
- Ability to perform physical custodial duties including bending, lifting, standing, walking, sweeping, mopping, and transporting supplies
