This position is part time and on an as needed basis.
Summary/objective: This position will operate a vehicle equipped to provide nonemergency transport of individuals and offering safe custom transportation to medical appointments, treatment facilities, court appointments, etc.

Pick up clients at home or other facility.
Ensure passengers are properly secured before starting vehicle. Depending on route, may pick up several clients for a common destination.
Checks the vehicle to ensure that no personal items are left behind.
Completes reports at the end of a shift.
Immediately reports traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed. Assists injured persons from first-aid kit until these services arrive. Completes company accident reports
All other duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications: High school diploma/GED, current driver’s license and have an excellent driving record. Must successfully complete company training program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Should have knowledge of roads and neighborhoods. Must be able to work independently, possess good organizational skills, and have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. The transportation driver must have the ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations.
Work Environment: Work is primarily outdoors, driving vehicles in various weather conditions. Requires regular attendance and adherence to state and Recovery Point safe driving standards.
Physical Demands: Requires ability to drive for prolonged periods of time and may require prolonged sitting. While performing duties of this job, employee may periodically bend, stoop or crouch; and frequently communicates with others. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk and hear; use hands to handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Travel is required.
