Responsibilities
- Monitor premises through surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras and access control systems, to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to ensure safety, identify hazards, and enforce security policies.
- Manage access control by verifying identities, performing background checks when necessary, and authorizing entry for authorized personnel, visitors, or contractors.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established emergency response procedures, including administering first aid or CPR if needed.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies while adhering to safety guidelines.
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques to maintain a peaceful environment and prevent escalation of disputes.
Experience
- Prior experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology, access control systems, and physical security measures is essential.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), and Taser use is preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and fire safety protocols enhances effectiveness in this role.
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough screening processes when required.
- Strong communication skills for incident report writing and interacting professionally with the public and team members.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining compliance with security regulations.
