Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000 + Sign-On Bonus Eligible
Schedule: 9/80 Schedule with Every Other Friday Off

Our Simi Valley facility serves as the company's primary engineering, manufacturing, testing, and integration center. Teams at this location design and develop next-generation motor controllers, embedded electronic systems, and motion control technologies supporting some of the worlds most advanced aerospace, defense, and space exploration programs.
We serve customers across space exploration, aerospace, defense, military systems, robotics, aviation, industrial automation, automotive, and agricultural technology markets.
The Electrical Engineering team currently consists of 5 engineers and is actively expanding to 8 engineers as the company continues to grow its portfolio of cutting-edge aerospace, defense, and space technologies.
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will lead the development of advanced motor control electronics and embedded hardware platforms that power next-generation aerospace, defense, lunar, and orbital mission systems.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, analysis, and integration of microcontroller-based analog and digital electronic systems supporting motion control and power conversion applications.

Drive hardware architecture, product definition, component selection, and system-level design activities from concept through qualification and production release.

Develop and validate motor control systems utilizing IGBTs, MOSFETs, power drivers, current sensing technologies, and high-performance control electronics.

Collaborate directly with customers, software engineers, manufacturing teams, and program leadership to define requirements and deliver mission-critical hardware solutions.

Mentor junior engineers while leading design reviews, troubleshooting efforts, root cause investigations, FPGA integration activities, and continuous engineering process improvements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with significant experience designing complex embedded electronic systems.

Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, microcontroller-based systems, power electronics, motor control systems, A/D and D/A converters, and hardware architecture development.

Experience with ORCAD schematic capture, PSpice simulation, FPGA integration, high-speed signal processing, digital filters, and control systems design.

Proven ability to independently lead full product lifecycle development including requirements analysis, schematic design, testing, qualification, release management, and customer interaction.

Nice to have: Embedded software development experience using C or C++, TCP/IP communications, sensor-less motor control experience, military standards knowledge, and familiarity with military program proposal and RFP processes.
