Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Roofer Laborer and play a vital role in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new roof installations to restoration and siding work. As a Roofer Laborer, you will support skilled roofers by preparing job sites, handling materials, and ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. Duties
- Assist with the setup of roofing sites, including staging materials and organizing tools
- Handle and transport roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, and insulation using hand tools and power tools
- Support roofers in installing roofing systems according to technical plans and schematics
- Use construction safety harnesses and adhere to all workplace safety regulations during work at heights
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow on-site
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to assist with precise installation tasks
- Support other trades such as siding installation, stucco application, framing carpentry, or masonry as needed for project completion
Skills
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on roofing or siding installation
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in construction
- Knowledge of construction safety harnesses and adherence to workplace safety regulations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Basic understanding of construction estimating processes and project timelines
- Experience with related trades such as carpentry, drywall framing, caulking, tile laying or restoration work is a plus
- Strong physical stamina for manual labor tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
