Job Overview
Awen Solutions Group is seeking a Project Architect to lead and support the planning, design, documentation, coordination, and construction administration of federal healthcare and government facility projects.
This position is ideal for a licensed architect who enjoys working throughout the full project lifecycle, from programming and design development through construction closeout. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, develop technical design solutions, interface with clients and stakeholders, and lead Construction Period Services (CPS) activities during project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and coordination of architectural designs and construction documents using Revit.
- Lead multidisciplinary architectural and engineering project teams through all phases of project delivery.
- Participate in and facilitate client meetings, design reviews, and project planning activities.
- Apply building codes, accessibility requirements, and healthcare planning principles to develop compliant design solutions
- Lead quality reviews and support project delivery from concept through project closeout.
- Lead the preparation and review of drawings, specifications, reports, and project narratives.
- Analyze project challenges and develop practical, technically sound architectural solutions.
- Support proposal development, business development efforts, and technical presentations.
Construction Period Services
- Lead the review and disposition of RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, product data, and supplemental instructions.
- Conduct field observations, site visits, and construction progress meetings.
- Lead the evaluation and resolution of design changes, substitutions, change orders, and unforeseen conditions.
- Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, commissioning documentation reviews, as-built drawing reviews, and final closeout deliverables.
- Coordinate with owners, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout construction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- Registered Architect (RA) or ability to obtain licensure.
- 5+ years of experience leading architectural projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Experience preparing construction documents and coordinating consultants.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- NCARB Certificate.
- Federal project experience (VA, USACE, DoD, FAA, GSA, etc.).
- Healthcare facility design experience.
- Construction Administration / Construction Period Services experience.
- Experience with Procore Construction Management Platform.
- Experience with Bluebeam and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- LEED AP, WELL AP, CDT, or similar professional credentials.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
