Position Summary
A leading manufacturing company in the Twin Falls area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its plant operations team. This role is responsible for supporting equipment reliability, troubleshooting production systems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring efficient plant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment systems with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform changeovers, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment and associated systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Support equipment installations, machine modifications, wiring, and system upgrades
- Perform preventative maintenance activities according to maintenance schedules
- Troubleshoot conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers, robots, and related equipment
- Maintain optimal equipment performance to maximize plant efficiency and minimize downtime
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Order and maintain spare parts inventory as needed
- Implement operational improvements related to downtime, spoilage reduction, and line efficiency
- Train team members on safe and efficient equipment operation
- Complete maintenance reports and update maintenance management systems as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company safety, GMP, and food safety procedures
- Assist with additional projects and plant initiatives as assigned
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical or Trade School certification preferred
- 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Manufacturing or related industrial experience strongly preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience
- Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance software preferred
