Duties
- Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or manual methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and handling food items following proper food handling procedures.
- Support the catering team by bussing tables and clearing dishes during events or banquet services.
- Help with light cleaning duties across the kitchen and dining areas to uphold health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of food service operations during busy periods.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment use to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with basic kitchen operations such as bussing tables, food preparation, or cleaning is advantageous.
- Experience working in banquet settings or catering events is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices is beneficial.
