Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse / Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, materials handling, and order fulfillment, while also safely operating various equipment and delivery vehicles. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth distribution processes, timely deliveries, and adherence to safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery to load, unload, move, and organize materials safely and efficiently.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, stocking shelves, packaging products, and preparing shipments for delivery or receipt.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping or receiving while ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment using order picker devices and inventory management software.
- Load and unload trucks with precision using appropriate safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring all cargo is secured properly.
- Conduct routine safety inspections of equipment and work areas in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety regulations.
- Assist with warehouse distribution activities by coordinating logistics operations to optimize workflow and maintain stock levels.
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklift trucks, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, inventory control, and stock management.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems & inventory management tools.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA guidelines and proper use of PPE during all tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy and order accuracy.
- Basic math skills for counting stock quantities and verifying shipments efficiently.
- Construction or manufacturing experience is a plus for understanding heavy-duty material handling environments.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively in a fast-paced setting.
