The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced compliance leader to oversee investigations, regulatory risk management, and compliance program support across our organization.
The Director, Compliance Investigations will lead complex compliance investigations, provide guidance on healthcare regulatory matters, support corrective action initiatives, and partner with operational and executive leaders to foster a culture of ethics, accountability, and compliance. This role is ideal for a strategic compliance professional who enjoys solving complex problems, leading high-impact investigations, and driving meaningful organizational change.

Lead and oversee the investigation of reported compliance concerns, allegations of misconduct, and potential regulatory violations.

Manage the intake, triage, prioritization, and assignment of compliance matters to ensure timely and consistent resolution.

Conduct and oversee complex investigations involving healthcare compliance, regulatory requirements, and operational risk.

Evaluate investigative findings and provide recommendations for corrective actions, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies.

Prepare reports and presentations summarizing investigative activity, outcomes, trends, and compliance risks for senior leadership.

Serve as a trusted advisor on healthcare compliance, fraud, waste and abuse regulations, and regulatory risk management.

Stay informed of federal and state healthcare regulations, enforcement activities, payer audits, and industry developments impacting revenue cycle operations.

Research and respond to compliance-related inquiries while providing practical guidance to operational and business leaders.

Identify emerging compliance risks and recommend proactive solutions to strengthen organizational compliance programs.

Partner with operational leadership to develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans arising from investigations, audits, and compliance reviews.

Support claim correction efforts, overpayment and refund initiatives, and remediation strategies when necessary.

Track corrective action completion and ensure appropriate escalation of unresolved issues.

Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, controls, and organizational effectiveness.

Develop and deliver compliance education and training related to investigations, regulatory developments, audit findings, and industry best practices.

Build collaborative relationships with compliance, operational, legal, and executive stakeholders.

Support client-facing compliance activities, including monitoring, reporting, and regulatory communications.

Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical decision-making throughout the organization.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 5 years of healthcare compliance, healthcare operations compliance, legal, regulatory, audit, or related experience.

Experience conducting and managing compliance investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action initiatives.

Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance program operations.

Proven ability to communicate effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization.

Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or other relevant compliance certification.

Master's degree, Juris Doctor (JD), Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related advanced degree.

7-10 years of progressive healthcare compliance, legal, audit, or regulatory experience.

3-5 years of leadership experience managing teams, programs, or enterprise initiatives.

Experience supporting healthcare revenue cycle operations and regulatory compliance programs.
