Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG, MIG, and STICK welding on various components.
- Fabricate and repair trailers, tractors, and other industrial equipment.
- Execute sanitary welds and operate welding tools including Bridgeport, lathes, drill presses, and CNC equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to meet job specifications.
- Inspect weld joints for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding and fabrication.
- Familiarity with jigs, fixtures, and fabrication templates.
- Ability to weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced industrial setting with exposure to machinery.
- Cold storage production areas maintained at 32°F or lower.
- Varying noise levels; hearing protection may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for 80% of the shift and walk for 20%.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently with reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent use of hands and arms; ability to bend, twist, and squat during shift.
- Must meet requirements for working in a safety-sensitive position.
