Full Time Shift: Sunday to Thursday (11PM to 7AM)
Job Description:
As a Yard Spotter with Regency Transportation, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations by efficiently and safely moving trailers and containers within our yard facilities
Responsibilities:
- Spotting Trailers: Maneuver trailers and containers within the yard facility using a yard truck or spotter truck.
- Organizing Yard Space: Ensure trailers are properly aligned and positioned for loading and unloading operations.
- Maintaining Yard Order: Keep track of trailer inventory, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage.
- Communicating with Warehouse Team: Coordinate closely with warehouse staff to prioritize trailer movements and meet loading/unloading schedules.
- Performing Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of trailers for damage, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
- Following Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating yard equipment and moving trailers.
- Reporting Maintenance Issues: Notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a yard spotter or similar role in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with yard truck operations and ability to operate spotting equipment safely.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with warehouse teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized yard facility.
