Position Summary
CFS Interiors & Flooring is seeking an experienced and results-driven National Accounts Labor Project Manager to lead labor planning, workforce deployment, and subcontractor coordination for commercial flooring projects across multiple markets nationwide.
This critical role serves as the bridge between End User, Sales, Project Management, Estimating, and Field Operations, ensuring projects are staffed with qualified installation teams, schedules remain on track, and installation quality consistently meets client expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong construction operations experience, able to read and interpret blueprints, offers a high level of communication, exceptional relationship-management skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate labor resources across a national portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Labor Planning & Resource Management
- Develop and execute labor strategies to support national account projects across multiple regions.
- Forecast workforce requirements based on project pipelines, schedules, and scope.
- Assign installation crews and subcontractors according to skill sets, certifications, and availability.
- Monitor labor capacity and proactively adjust resources to support project timelines and client commitments.
- Execute large-scale, multi-year projects with effective leadership and on budget.
- Report on labor capacity, utilization, and project risks to leadership.
Subcontractor Network Management
- Build, maintain, and expand a network of qualified installation partners and subcontractors nationwide.
- Solicit and review labor proposals from Local Service Providers (LSPs).
- Evaluate pricing, understand scope coverage, and provide labor availability to ensure project success.
- Verify installer qualifications, insurance coverage, certifications, and safety compliance.
- Address performance concerns and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Project Execution & Collaboration
- Partner with National Account Managers, Project Managers, and Field Leadership to develop effective labor plans, durations using flooring best practices.
- Work in tandem with CFS Senior Project Manager to achieve client goals.
- Participate in project planning and coordination meetings with end users and alliance partners to identify and mitigate labor risks.
- Resolve field challenges, scheduling conflicts, and resource constraints quickly and effectively.
- Ensure labor plans align with project milestones and operational objectives.
- Support project teams and patriciate in weekly project coordination meetings with stakeholders and LSP partners.
- Attend monthly touchpoint meetings with stakeholders to effectively communicate status across the portfolio.
- Report quarterly on the project breakdowns for the different portfolio segments, including quantities and financial impact.
- Participate and collaborate on slide deck presentations when requested.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure labor plans align with project timelines and milestones.
- Adapt to project changes effectively
Quality, Safety & Technical Support
- Promote adherence to manufacturer installation guidelines and company quality standards.
- Serve as a technical resource on flooring installation methods, floor preparation, and mitigation requirements.
- Support resolution of warranty claims, installation issues, maintenance and field-related concerns.
- Ensure all labor partners comply with company safety expectations and jobsite requirements.
- Navigate and utilize Procore construction software.
Financial & Operational Performance
- Prepare labor-based Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for project opportunities.
- Support proposal development and review labor costs before submission.
- Track labor productivity, change orders, and budget performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance project profitability.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in commercial flooring, construction operations, labor management, or related field.
- Experience managing installation crews or subcontractor labor across multiple projects.
- Abel to understand and interpret construction documents, knowledge of necessary construction verbiage and processes.
- Strong understanding of labor planning, scheduling, and workforce utilization.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Estimating experience and familiarity with construction estimating software.
Preferred
- Experience with national account or multi-location construction projects.
- Experience using Callidus software preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial flooring products and installation methods, including carpet, LVT, sheet vinyl, and tile.
- Experience working in both union and non-union labor environments.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $65,000–$85,000 annually
