Why does the job exist?
This position will manage and provide programmatic and financial oversight of statewide community-based support services to children, youth and families who are at-risk of or have experienced child abuse and/or neglect. This includes, but is not limited to the development of procurement, (Request for Proposal's (RFP's), Request for Application (RF A's), etc.), professional and general services contracts, and contract expenditures. The incumbent will be able to provide ongoing and regular training and technical assistance to contractors, stakeholders, and the CYFD field staff that provide or utilize these services.
INCUMBENT MAY BE HOUSED IN SANTA FE OR ALBQUERQUE
How does it get done?
Provide effective programmatic and financial oversight of statewide community based support services to children, youth and families who are at-risk of or have experienced child abuse and/or neglect. 40%
Development of procurement (RFP's, RF A's, etc), professional and general services contracts and contract expenditures. 30%
Conduct quality assurance and performance improvement activities in partnership with internal and external stakeholders statewide. 20%
Provide guidance, oversight and technical support for contracted providers who are providing community-based support services to children, youth and families who are at-risk of or have experienced child abuse and/or neglect. 10%
Minimum Qualification
Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Family Studies/Services, Social Sciences, or Human Services and one (1) year of experience as a social work assistant and/or in social or community coordination, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, and/or behavioral health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting: late hours and weekend work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Statewide travel is required. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints. Incumbent will be required to travel to fulfill job task related assignments approximately 15% of the time.
