Duties
- Safely operate a vehicle to deliver small packages along designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations.
- Load and unload packages efficiently using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers, providing excellent customer service throughout each interaction
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs using mobile devices, tracking package status and route progress in real-time
- Follow all warehouse procedures for material handling and ensure proper documentation for each delivery
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries
Requirements
- 21+ years old
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record required
- Clean background check required(We DO NOT pay for your check)
- Reliable vehicle
- Smartphone with reliable data service
- Able to lift packages up to 50 lbs
- Reliable and professional
- Previous delivery experience is a plus
PAY & SCHEDULE
- $1.50 per successfully delivered package
- 4–6 days per week, Monday–Saturday
- Weekly pay(First paydate is on week 3 as there is a 2 week pay hold)
- Routes generally finish by early afternoon
- Reliable drivers may receive priority for additional route days
- We do not cover gas or tolls(Tolls are not necessary for these routes)
ROUTE INFORMATION
- Pickup: Garfield, NJ
- Pickup window: 6:30 AM–7:30 AM
- Delivery areas include Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson & Morris Counties
- All stops are within approximately 35 miles of the pickup location
INSURANCE
- Valid auto insurance is required.
- Commercial auto insurance is preferred.
- If you do not currently have the required coverage, insurance coverage may be available through our program, subject to eligibility and applicable requirements.
