Join the C!ty Distributions team as a Bud Intern, the starting position on our path to becoming a Budtender. This role is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of cannabis retail while working directly with customers and alongside experienced Budtenders and store leadership. As a Bud Intern, you'll build your knowledge of cannabis products, customer service, compliance, inventory, and store operations. You'll learn through hands-on experience, product education, training, and working alongside the team. Once you complete your training and successfully pass your Budtender exam, you'll have the opportunity to move into the Budtender role.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and create a welcoming, positive experience
- Learn about cannabis products, strains, effects, and product categories
- Assist customers with product questions and basic guidance while continuing to build your knowledge
- Weigh, package, and label flower according to company SOPs and compliance requirements
- Assist with sales and learn our POS and cash-handling procedures
- Restock, rotate, label, and organize products to maintain accurate inventory
- Assist with receiving and organizing shipments
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional sales floor and storage areas
- Assist with displays, signage, promotions, product launches, and in-store events
- Participate in product education sessions, team huddles, and ongoing training
- Assist with inventory counts and accuracy checks
- Follow all company SOPs, compliance requirements, and product-handling procedures
- Work closely with Budtenders and leadership to support the team during busy periods
- Learn how to identify and report safety, security, or compliance concerns
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Genuine interest in learning about cannabis products and the industry
- Ability to learn and follow company SOPs, compliance procedures, and regulations
- Strong attention to detail, especially when handling, weighing, packaging, and labeling products
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working as part of a team and communicating with coworkers and leadership
- Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and continue learning
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move product as needed
- Reliable transportation and consistent, punctual availability

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
