Position Overview:
The Part-Time Parent Mentor Coordinator (PMC) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of the Parent Mentor Program (PMP) at their assigned school. Serving as the primary liaison between Enlace Chicago and the school community, the PMC supervises, coaches, and supports Parent Mentors to ensure successful classroom engagement and program implementation.
The PMC works closely with school administrators, teachers, families, and Enlace Chicago staff to foster strong school-family partnerships and cultivate parent leadership. In collaboration with Enlace organizers and community partners, the PMC recruits, engages, and develops parent leaders while promoting meaningful family participation in school and community initiatives. Although employed by Enlace Chicago, the PMC is based at their assigned school and serves as an integral member of the school community.
Key Responsibilities:

Program Implementation & Coordination:
Recruit, coordinate, and implement the Parent Mentor Program at the assigned school, ensuring high-quality program delivery in partnership with school staff, PEI, and Enlace Chicago.

Parent Mentor Supervision & Leadership Development:
Supervise, coach, train, and develop Parent Mentors through regular observations, workshops, leadership development, and ongoing support.

Compliance & Administrative Management:
Ensure program compliance by maintaining accurate documentation, submitting reports and stipend paperwork on time, and adhering to Enlace Chicago, PEI, and school district policies.

Community Engagement & Collaboration
Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and community partners while promoting parent leadership, organizing community engagement opportunities, and collaborating across Enlace Chicago teams.

Compensation: The salary range for this position annually is 25/hour. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Paid time off. Enlace complies with the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act (PLAWA). Eligible non-exempt employees accrue 1 hour of Paid Leave for every 40 hours worked, up to 40 hours per year. Paid Leave may be used for any reason and unused accrued leave is paid out upon separation, as required by law.
Paid Sick Leave Eligible employees accrue 1 hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 40 hours worked, up to 40 hours per year. Paid Sick Leave may be used for qualifying personal or family medical needs in accordance with Enlace's Sick Leave Policy and applicable law.
