Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for 4th-grade students across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies
- Utilize differentiated instruction techniques to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, including students with special education needs and those requiring early intervention
- Incorporate educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, analyzing performance data to inform instruction and provide targeted support
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming activities through parent-teacher conferences and written updates
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and education administrators to implement curriculum development initiatives, share best practices, and ensure compliance with educational regulations
- Support extracurricular activities such as tutoring sessions, library services, or physical education to promote well-rounded development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification for elementary education is preferred
- Proven experience teaching 4th grade or similar elementary school levels in diverse classroom settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing procedures
- Familiarity with curriculum implementation, lesson planning, and assessment strategies including student performance data analysis
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles using differentiated instruction techniques
- Proficiency in educational technology integration, including learning management systems and digital resources
- Demonstrated classroom management skills to create a safe, engaging learning environment
- Experience working with young children in private school settings or early intervention programs is desirable
- Strong organizational skills for managing lesson plans, student records, and compliance documentation
