Job Summary:
The Host is the first point of contact for guests. You are responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience by greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and coordinating table assignments. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Looking for someone with an outgoing personality that loves to talk to everyone. Our restaurant concept is a speakeasy, so you will need to bring a bit of acting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage reservations and waitlists.
- Assign tables to guests based on party size and server rotation.
- Answer phones, take reservations, and provide information about the restaurant.
- Monitor the dining room, entrance, and overall guest flow to ensure smooth service.
- Communicate guest needs and preferences to servers and management.
- Assist with cleaning and resetting tables as needed.
- Ensure the front-of-house area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer or POS system knowledge is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
