Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with proven experience in back office supervision to join our dynamic dental team. You will be instrumental in managing daily clinical workflows, supervising back office staff, and ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Duties
- Oversee daily clinical operations within the back office, including sterilization, instrument processing, and maintaining dental equipment.
- Supervise and support dental assistants and hygienists to ensure efficient chairside assisting and patient care delivery.
- Manage patient flow using patient management software, ensuring accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with dental procedures such as X-ray imaging, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
- Ensure infection prevention protocols are followed meticulously, including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection control standards.
- Train and mentor staff on the use of dental equipment like 3D scanners, digital X-ray machines, and other advanced clinical tools.
- Collaborate with the front desk team to support dental receptionist duties when needed, including patient check-in/out and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive medical records and documentation efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Dental Assistant with at least two years of back office supervision or leadership in a busy dental practice.
- Extensive knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and medical documentation standards.
- Hands-on experience with dental X-ray procedures, medical imaging techniques, and oral surgery assistance.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and working effectively with pediatric patients.
- Ability to operate dental instruments, sterilization equipment, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools confidently.
- Excellent knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry protocols including endodontics and prosthodontics.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising clinical staff while fostering a collaborative team environment dedicated to patient care excellence.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
