Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Drafter/Designer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise electrical system designs, detailed schematics, and building information models (BIM) that support the development and construction of complex electrical projects. Your expertise will help ensure our electrical systems meet all industry standards, electrical codes, and client specifications. Duties
- Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate electrical engineering concepts into accurate design documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes including NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local building regulations.
- Assist in designing electrical systems for buildings, including wiring diagrams, system layouts, and control schematics for programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Prepare detailed documentation for electrical wiring, system design, PCB layouts, and schematic diagrams for manufacturing or construction.
- Support construction teams by providing clear drawings and specifications that facilitate seamless installation of electrical systems.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and modeling purposes.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and electrical building codes such as NEC and NFPA 70 compliance.
- Experience in electrical system design including schematics, layout design, wiring diagrams, and system integration.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics and layout plans while adhering to safety standards.
