Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following established food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work under supervision
- Support the cleaning and organization of kitchen stations to ensure a hygienic environment in compliance with sanitation standards
- Bypass dirty dishes from the service area to designated washing stations promptly to keep workflow uninterrupted
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies safely and correctly
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly, including dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning tools while adhering to safety protocols
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and assisting with general cleanliness in dining areas when required
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
- Strong understanding of food safety management and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safe knife skills for basic prep tasks
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing periods
