Currently we are seeking an Acro Instructor with strong background in Acro, Gymnastics and working with children. Please be sure to include your training and teaching experience in your resume.
As an Acro Instructor, you will be responsible for:
- teaching the fundamentals to advanced skills of Acrobatics with a gymnastics focus
- Providing instruction to students ages 8 - Teen
- Taking attendance, attending faculty meetings and dance workshops, choreography for recitals
- Working closely with our Acro team to ensure curriculum is implemented in your classroom so required skills and technique are maintained in every class.
Preferred Experience:
Former Gymnasts, Acro or Gymnastics instructor/coaches who have background and experience teaching children.
- At least 2 years of current experience teaching students in a dance studio or gymnastics program is preferred
- Has worked with beginners through advanced students and has background in competitive gymnastics or dance and significant training
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with parents, students, and staff
- A passion for teaching and inspiring young people
- A flexible schedule that allows availability from 3pm - 8pm.
- Snow days or class cancellations are paid.
- Must have strong knowledge of fundamental gymnastic technique, spotting and safety expertise, vocabulary, kinesiology and physiology and incorporate all of these when teaching.
- Meets with Curriculum director to ensure the needs and focus of the studio's program are completely met.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
