We are seeking a part-time (2 days per week) experienced Medical Business Development Consultant with a focus on OB/GYN and women's health practices.
The ideal candidate will drive patient growth, strengthen referral networks, and implement revenue-generating strategies across multiple locations. This role combines healthcare marketing expertise with a deep understanding of the OB/GYN patient journey.
Medical Business Development & Marketing Professional Job Description
- Patient Growth & Digital Marketing
- Develop and execute local SEO strategies targeting OB/GYN-specific search terms across all practice locations
Referral Network Development
- Identify and cultivate relationships with primary care physicians, urgent care centers, fertility clinics, and pediatric offices
- Develop referral partner packets and manage ongoing outreach to referring providers
- Coordinate fast-track appointment access programs for referring physician networks
Patient Retention & Reactivation
- Design and implement automated patient recall systems for annual exams, Pap smears, postpartum follow-ups, and contraceptive device replacements
- Launch targeted re-engagement campaigns for lapsed patients segmented by life stage (postpartum, reproductive age, perimenopause)
- Reduce scheduling friction through online booking optimization and improved phone routing
Reputation Management
- Implement automated post-visit review request systems
- Monitor and respond to online reviews across all platforms
- Leverage patient testimonials across website and social media channels
Hospital & Community Partnerships
- Expand visibility through hospital newsletters, prenatal class sponsorships, and community education events
- Build cross-referral relationships with hospital-based lactation consultants and ancillary providers
Multi-Location Brand Strategy
- Maintain consistent branding across all locations while developing distinct positioning for each site
- Ensure NAP consistency across all online listings and directories
- Prevent internal competition between locations through strategic differentiation
- Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles with regular posts, photos, and service updates
- Oversee Google Ads campaigns segmented by location and service line (OB care, gynecology, wellness visits, pregnancy confirmation)
- Build and maintain service-specific landing pages to maximize ad conversion
- Lead social media strategy on Instagram and Facebook with provider-focused, trust-building content including video
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of healthcare business development or medical practice marketing experience
- Prior experience with OB/GYN, women's health, or multi-specialty practices strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Google Ads, local SEO, and CRM/patient engagement platforms
- Strong relationship-building skills with physician networks and healthcare administrators
- Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant marketing practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
