Delta Development Team, Inc. is a fast-growing young company pursuing our mission of saving lives. Our FDA approved blood refrigerators enable emergency medicine first responders to have life-saving blood immediately at the scene of traumatic injury. Our growth has created a need for an Assistant Business Manager. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the broad scope of our business, including a key role interacting with our customers.
In this role you will assist the Business Manager managing day-to-day transactions, including customer order processing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and generating comprehensive financial statements without direct supervision.
Specific elements of this role include:
-Customer/Sales: Works closely with the sales team to prepare timely and accurate quotations for prospective customers. Upon receipt of the customer purchase order, ensures timely and accurate entry into Delta’s order processing system and sends an acknowledgement to the customer.
-AP & AR: Process vendor invoices, manage vendor relations, generate client invoices, and track accounts aging to ensure timely collections.
-Payroll Processing: Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations. Complete payroll using the company's payroll service.
-Human Resources: Strong understanding of general laws and regulations. Assist with onboarding new employees, benefit enrollments, benefit open enrollments and Employee Handbook updates and compliances for multi-states.
-Financial Reporting: Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, such as account reconciliations, deferred revenue, etc.
-Sales Tax: Strong understanding of sales tax laws. Monitor and secure tax documentation necessary for sales tax compliance for multi-states.
-Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
-Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities, sharp attention to detail for error-free reporting and strong communication skills to interact with management and external advisors.
-General: Is able to decipher information and use analytical skills to maintain accounting principles and HR laws and regulations. The ability to be flexible in a changing and growing environment.
Desirable qualifications and experience include previous accounting/administration roles in a manufacturing business. A bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field is desirable.
