Our school year starting rate is $11.00 per hour with the potential to receive more based-on responsibilities.
- 16 and 17-year-old jr. counselors start at $10.00 per hour
We are currently looking for energetic, dependable, and caring individuals to join our After School Care team at the following locations:

Purcell Jr. High After School Program | 6th–8th Grade
Work with middle school students in a fun and engaging environment! Staff help lead activities, games, sports, and opportunities for students to connect with their peers while providing positive mentorship and supervision. -
Noble After School Program | Pre-K–5th Grade
Help create a safe, welcoming, and exciting place for children after school! Staff engage children in games, arts and crafts, STEM activities, sports, group activities, and supervised play.

Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)

Must complete all required annual compliance trainings within 30 days of hire and renewed annually.

Establish a positive relationship with the program participants.
-
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.
-
Know where all group members are at all times.
-
Lead games and activities.
-
Take daily attendance and see that each child is signed in and out by a responsible party each day.
-
Actively engage children and participants in activities.
-
Perform daily count of meals and snacks served.
-
Report all injuries and incidences to the site coordinator.

Attend regularly scheduled staff meeting to help plan activities and attend CATCH trainings.

Develop positive relationships with school principal and staff.
-
Display YMCA character values (Honesty, caring, respect, and responsibilities at all times.)

Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors and volunteers.
