Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods while maintaining a balanced cash drawer
- Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising to keep the store attractive and well-stocked
- Upsell products by suggesting complementary items or upgrades to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems while ensuring accuracy in retail math calculations for pricing and discounts
- Engage in basic math calculations for cash handling, change giving, and transaction totals efficiently and accurately
- Participate in retail store product knowledge sessions to stay informed about current inventory and promotions
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock counts and product placement to optimize store presentation
Experience
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude above all
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially if it involved training or mentoring new team members
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to better serve diverse customer needs
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging customers effectively and providing clear product information
- Experience conducting product demos or upselling can help maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
