Production Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
Location: Maryville, TN
Pay: $29.00–$30.00/hour + 9% Shift Premium
Schedule: Full-Time | 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Position Overview
M Force Partners is seeking an experienced Production Maintenance Technician to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations in Maryville, TN. This 2nd shift position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, modifying, and maintaining production equipment to minimize downtime and keep manufacturing operations running efficiently.
The ideal Production Maintenance Technician has hands-on industrial maintenance experience with electrical and mechanical systems and is comfortable troubleshooting PLCs, 480V 3-phase electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and automated manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated production equipment
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery
- Troubleshoot 480V 3-phase electrical systems and industrial electrical components
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repairs to minimize production downtime
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and automated manufacturing equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications
- Set up, test, adjust, and verify proper operation of production equipment
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production performance issues
- Support equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Participate in root cause analysis and equipment reliability initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation
- Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and corrective actions with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance leadership
- Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and company procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment using 5S principles
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience or equivalent military maintenance experience
- Experience troubleshooting 480V 3-phase electrical systems
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills with the ability to document maintenance activities and work orders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to safely work around industrial equipment and follow established safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal industrial maintenance apprenticeship or technical education in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field
- Experience troubleshooting robotics and automated manufacturing equipment
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or production environments
- Root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience
- Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or similar manufacturing practices
